Engaging e-Learning that enlightens job seekers well before the interview

The Need

BNSF Railway operates around the clock 365 days a year, and most of its employees do not have a typical office job. Many positions require travel and physically demanding labor outside in all weather conditions. The company wanted to give job applicants a realistic look at the position to see if it aligns with their expectations before the company invests resources in the interview process and on-the-job training.

What We Created

An expanding library of virtual realistic job previews for various career paths

Project Highlights

Strategically structured content so that some sections could be universally included in every realistic job preview
Clearly and concisely presented company, job, and benefits information that job seekers want to know
Built an interactive map to showcase the company’s districts, track network, hubs, etc.
Created videos that include motion graphics; client-supplied testimonial videos, b-roll, and photos; professional voiceover; and stock music
Used static page design, when appropriate, to streamline production
Covered content that regularly changes (pay rates, union dues, insurance premiums, etc.) with easy-to-update embedded PDFs
Engaged the learner with interactive questions
Created SCORM-compliant packages for the client’s learning management system (LMS)
Incorporated a powerful email application programming interface (API) for communicating with job applicants
